| Hero of Dreams
Hero of Dreams is a WONDERFUL 2.10 ZC Quest, which I had a blast playing through! It's extremely feature-rich, with some of the best dungeons and puzzles I've ever seen in a quest. It's also heavily story driven, as I'll go into shortly. The entire game is focused on a new Link, one who is extremely chatty and dorky in a cute way. At the start of the game, it is revealed that Link is having prophetic dreams, revealing an impending invasion of Hyrule. He reveals this to his caretaker, and is instructed to begin his journey to collect the Triforce pieces.
The dungeons are extremely advanced for a ZC quest. They are all extremely long, with several full-length dungeons in-between the Triforce dungeons. Each of these dungeons feature complex block puzzles, intricate room layout with multiple levels, and custom bosses, which admittedly take a bit of getting used to, since this is before the days of ZScript.
I spent 30 hours playing through the entire quest, including an enemy gauntlet called the Cave of Ordeals, which was bordering on unfair as far as challenges go, but I overcame it in the end. If you want to see what a completely polished and complete ZC quest looks like, then look no further than Hero of Dreams. This is a must-play for anyone in the ZC scene. |
